Very poor service. The staff who was doing my nails was keep talking to another staff and end up did a bad job to my nails. The funny thing is, they just pretend they didn't mention what was done and wants to finish off the job asap. They tried to finish off the job and put the colour to cover what they did? I stopped them immediately and gave up the massage service too. I just busted out the shop immediately. I paid my money in advanced and thought it was so competitive in the shopping centre that believe they absolutely could do a good job. I am very disappointed about their service and surely will not visit again.
I agree that the place didn't smell of chemicals, and the massage chairs were very nice.
However, the service wasn't great. I felt uncomfortable being there, like I was a chore to be done, not a paying customer. The manicure was badly done, ending up with my nails being on a slope. The polish didn't cover my entire nail, missing the sides completely. I felt I could have done a better job myself.
There are a handful of beauty/nail salons in the shopping centre, but I chose AB Absolute Beauty because unlike the bigger chain salons, it didn't smell like chemicals. Surprisingly, it was also cheaper ($35 for a mani+pedi with polish).
It's a small little salon tucked away in the bottom corner of Top Ryde City, but it gets busy at times. When it's quiet, one girl will do your pedicure while the other does your manicure. The massage chairs are also big and comfy.
The girls at AB Absolute Beauty are attentive and do a good job with your nails. I could tell that they were speaking about me in Vietnamese when I put away my rings for my hand massage and each time my husband walked in, BUT for the price they charge and the overall service I got, I'm willing to put up with being spoken about in any language.
