On 1 July 2002, three Wollongong legal firms merged to create the entity now known as Access Business Lawyers.  The three firms were as follows: 

1. Cunich Business Lawyers â?? Rod Cunich (Principal), 
                                                 Graham Lancaster (Associate)
2. Devitt & Swan Lawyers â?? David Swan (Partner), Michael Devitt (Partner)
3. Higgins Dyson â?? Michael Dyson (Principal)

Entity
ABL is an incorporated legal practice, the legal entity being:
Access Business Lawyers Pty Ltd as trustee for Access Business Unit Trust trading as Access Business Lawyers.

Original Board of Directors
The original board of directors was structured as follows:
â?¢ David Swan â?? Equity Holder, Director
â?¢ Michael Devitt â?? Equity Holder, Director
â?¢ Michael Dyson â?? Equity Holder, Director
â?¢ Rod Cunich â?? Equity Holder, Director
â?¢ Graham Lancaster- Non Equity Director

In 2003 Michael Devitt retired from the firm and Graham Lancaster joined as an Equity Director.

In July 2004 William Thomas Ellicott (Tom) joined the firm as a Senior Associate.  In 2006 Tom became a non equity Director.

On 1 July 2007, Michael Dyson retired as an equity participant but remains as a Consultant / Employee of the firm. 

On 1 July 2007 Tom Ellicott joined as an equity holder in the firm.

On 1 July 2009 Access Business Lawyers became Access Law Group.
