Acting Classes with Gareth Harris 

Gareth trained at Mountview Theatre School, London and his credits include the award winning play "ART" in London's West End and "Antony and Cleopatra" at the Royal National Theatre, London. TV includes The Bill, East Enders and Casualty.

Gareth has run classes at Metro Arts for 2.5 years and in that time 12 students have accepted offers from all the Major acting schools in Australia and 2 have accepted offers from London schools. But these classes are not only for aspiring actors. Many students are from the world of commerce and people simply wishing to learn how actors work and people who wish to improve their confidence and communication skills. All that is needed is a desire to learn.

Gareths classes were an incredibly valuable addition to my education as an actor. His knowledge and enthusiasm for the craft not only made the classes more enjoyable than any others I had taken but also made them incredibly inspiring.
During my time with him I found whole knew ways of approaching the subjects of emotional risk, storytelling and the psychology behind acting, and was driven to achieve more and reach for higher goals than I had thought I was capable of before.

Gareth has a very in depth understanding of both what it means to be an actor and what it takes to be a great one, drawing on his experience in Britain in theatre and television I felt that I was not only getting the tuition that I needed but the insights into the craft that are required to reach a full understanding of both the difficulty and the beauty of what an actor is trying to achieve.

I am hoping to take further classes with him in the future as my career develops and would recommend his services to anyone who is either genuinely pursuing a career in the dramatic arts or who needs to take that first inspirational step towards a future stage or film career.

I've had the pleasure of being taught by Gareth and what I have learnt about the skill of acting and the art of acting is unsurmountable. For anyone even considering an acting career this is a great place to start.
