Do you feel unsafe or uncomfortable in the water? Are you afraid of the water, especially deep water? Do you want to enjoy water-based activities more with family and friends? Do you want to improve your fitness in the safe way that only swimming can? Mark Otter specialises in adult learn-to-swim instruction. He will teach you to swim or to improve your swimming skills regardless of your age, fitness, existing swimming ability or degree of comfort in the water. He is well experienced in teaching swimming to people of all ages, from babies to oldies. He is also experienced in coaching already competent swimmers, including in open water swimming. Mark is at home in the water (true to his surname) and he wants everyone else to be comfortable too. He is an experienced, understanding and patient instructor and teaches in a comfortable, non-threatening, non-judgemental way. He has been a pool and open water swimmer for many years and, after a long professional career, took up swimming instruction as a retirement job out of an interest to pass on his passion for the water. He is an AUSTSWIM-qualified Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety, an AUSTSWIM-qualified Teacher of Swimming to Adults, an ASCTA coach, a Royal Lifesaving Society-qualified pool lifeguard and has current first aid and CPR qualifications. He also holds a surf lifesaving bronze medallion and does regular patrols at Bribie Island Surf Club. Costs are $30 per hour long session for individual (one-to-one) instruction and $25 per person per hour session for small groups. Instruction can take place privately in a public pool or in a home pool. Mark can teach you in small groups or individually. Regulations require that swimmers register and complete health/medical forms. You will be emailed these forms when you book your lesson or you can complete them in hard copy in advance of your first session. Phone Mark today on 0438 652 696.
