    Had affordable plumbing out on a sunday afternoon to clear a blocked drain. Couldn't fault them at all, they turned up on time and had my drains flowing again in no time and all for a reasonable price. Thanks Neil

    I heard about Affordable Plumbing through a friend, and so asked them to come out and do a couple of jobs for me. I was very impressed. Joel turned up on time, was very pleasant and thorough and charged a reasonable price. I won't hesitate to call him again when I need any more plumbing jobs done.

    Had a plumbing emergency Friday lunchtime and Affordable was only service who offered to come that day. Arrived when arranged was able to fixed the problem for a fair price. Even looked at some work a previous tradesman had done and replaced incorrect washers. Very happy with the service and work done. Thanks Joel.

    Quoted $280 to repair and start instantanious hot water system on a Saturday, based on information given over the phone that the unit was 2-3 years old. Was 3 hours late for appointment, got the unit started and advised the unit was over 7 years old, corroded and needed to be replaced. No receipt was given. Two weeks later on a Sunday when the unit failed again, a quote of $1,600 was given to replace the unit. The value of the unit is approx. $600 and installation cost about $400, suggesting a $600 call out fee. We checked the unit which had a manufacture date of October 2008 and the purchasing documentation was dated January 2009 installation. Given only in attendance for 11 minutes they could not have read the compliance plate and based their assumption by just viewing the unit. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

    Was told my airconditioner motor needed replacing at a cost of $1,000. The motor was independently tested and I was later told that the motor bearings was all that needed replacing at a cost of under $200.
    Would not go deal with again.

    It was after hours on the weekend and I was quoted, but in hindsight $240 is excessive for a spindle change on an outside tap. They were at my place for 5 mins max, admitted the replacement was second hand and did not even replace the washer. To top it off on their way out they put a sticker with their details on my hot water system and said it would probably fail soon so give them a call when it did. I paid them cash and was declined a receipt when I asked for one. They couldn't get out quick enough. Good thing I watched what they did so I can do it myself next time.
    A big thumbs down from me.
