    Expensive for what it is.. Management dnt seem bothered. A band or solo singer Friday sat . An Sunday lunch time would be good with the small pizza tapas menu they had. Shame.

    We live in Alamanda and have been so dissapointed with the quality of food served at this cafe. It is true that the setting is very nice however it is overpriced for the quality of food delivered.
    The service isnt much better. I once ordered a toasted sandwich when there was only one other person in the cafe and stood and waited 30 minutes (in my bathers and I had come in from the pool) before complaining. There reaction was to scowl at me!!!! Then I took my sandwich and sat by the pool to find it was awful followed by the chef (if you could call him that) coming out to tell me off explaining in an aggressive manner that it was their first week!!! It was a sandwich! They told me they didnt appreciate me glaring at them (as I did after waiting 20 minutes).....!!!

    I believe that most people would have become frustrated waiting this long for a sandwich, no?

    However, this was last summer and today I plan to give them another chance. I am hoping things may have improved. I had eaten there for dinner on two other occassions and not thought much of the food (dinner time) however am willing to see if things have changed.

      Well I am writing back as soon as I can to inform readers that the cafe has indeed lifted its game. Under new management the restaurant/cafe immediately has a different feel and is full of vibrancy, staff with good attitudes and good food.

      We went yesterday and enjoyed a Sunday session with live music (very talented and easy to listen too), dips to share, fries and few glasses of wine followed by cake and coffee. Everything tasted very good, my only critism was that there was not enough bread served with the dips however this was rectified by proving us with more upon request without charge.

      Indeed the place has improved out of sight. We are excited to find it up to the standard we were expecting.
      As for pricing - the wines are very well priced however I felt the snacks were perhaps a little overpriced.

      However I highly recommend if you live in the area... its going to a smashing place to have a lazy breakfast/lunch/drinks during summer time! Cant wait.

    We had Sunday brunch here and was very surprised at the menu options. Not your traditional eggs, bacon, toast, muesli etc. I had a "veggie pan" which has a few veggies, eggs, toast and cannelli beans (no not baked beans) served in the pan it was cooked in. The setting is great, sitting on the deck by the man-made lake. The only let down was the service once things got a little busy. Maybe 2 floor staff is not enough for a sunny weekend.
