WOW! Fantastic Dentist!! After much deliberating and investigating for a GOOD dentist is Melbourne - I stumbled across this practice. I was not prepared for how AMAZING the staff and Dr John is. He actually listened to me, explained all my options, gave me a written plan and then - STOP PRESS - let me be involved in my treatment decisions. He was not pushy and i felt immediate respect and trust in him. I have now come many times, getting a dental Implant with him and other things and i am TOTALLY satisfied. I tell everyone about Dr John and his amazing team and I would like to share my experiences so others can benfit. I am an upcoming actress so I am so happy my teeth are in good hands :D -

Awesome Dentist! Thanks to the advice on here, I finally got my dream smile! I just moved to South Melbourne, and wanted to find a local dentist, didn't know anyone in Melbourne, so I jumped on here, and glad I did. Dr John did a wonderful job, and even though I came in nervous, I have left feeling super confident. It also helped that everyone is soooooo friendly - even the receptionist had a beautiful smile! I would recommend them to my friends and family - and do - (even though they live in Syndey) but for all those looking for a great dentist in melbourne - give them a try! Best: Beautiful office and great quality work (you can tell they don't skimp on quality) Worst: It was hard getting in to see Dr John, but it was worth the wait. -

I have been around the block or two and have never come across such a well organised, professional and courteous practice. I did my research on the net like you are probably doing right now and couldn't go past this place. Their website gave me a good idea about the type of dental practice they are. After visiting the practice i felt compelled to share my experience hoping you find it useful. I had a severe toothache that was causing me pain, after visiting another dentist (a health fund selected one) i was very disappointed with the quality of care. They did a filling without me going numb, the dentist was hard to understand and to top it off it was just as painful the next week if not worse. They did not fit me it and so i decided to look elsewhere. Thankfully i found, in my opinion the best dentist in Melbourne. Dr John knew exactly what to do, re-did the filling and I didn't feel a thing! He explained everything intelligibly and was a genuinely good guy. I loved his staff as well, the receptionists were professional and prompt and arranged my follow up appointments with a reminder message as well. I felt very well taken care of, like i was their number one priority. The fees were very reasonable and i was able to claim back from my health care card as well. The location is great, in South Melbourne just off Kingsway. So all in all my experiences were worlds apart. I would never go to another Melbourne dentist again. Thanks Dr John and staff at Albert Square Dental. -

I have been going to Dr John for some years and I would follow him to the ends of the earth! I have never been a fan of Dentists, probably a byproduct of my childhood experiences. I reluctantly visited Albert Square Dental when the pain became to unbearable. I remember my first visit - Dr John was so gentle, so calm and soooo patient. He explained the proceedures to me over and over again until I was comfortable. He stoped during treatment anytime I wanted too. I never felt nor saw a single injenction! I have told many people that come my way to visit Dr John, and they all come back with raving reviews. I strongly recommend anyone who is anxious, apprehensive or fearful of the dentist to visit this place. Oh yeah I got a full mouth rehabilitation (dental implants and veneers) which has changed my life! -

Amazing! Really wanted to share my exprience as it has been a long journey to finally find the right Dentist and get the smile i have always wanted. I was one of those people who really avoided smiling, got teased at school and has bad expriences from a terrible Dentist as a child. I knew i needed a heap of work as I used to wake up in pain at night but avoided the prospect of treatment. One day I couldnt take it anymore. I rang around a few places, read some different reviews and finally decided on Albert Square. Dr John was so amazing, he wrote me a plan of what i needed to get done, so i was able to digest it in chunks. Throughout the treatment he would check to see if all was okay before moving on. The staff, what can i say! They were so patient, professional and genuine. I got courtesy calls the day after each treatment was done. I am soooo glad i have finally completed my treatment and have a happy and healthy mouth (finally!). I would honestly recommend this practice to anyone who is nervous or needs extensive treatment - You wont look back (oh yeah love the soothing music they play in the waiting room, feels more like a SPA than a dental practice!). I have a huge phobia of dentists... so avoided going for years. I know everyone says the same but I'm not exagerating... i'm the worst. it's mainly coz i am really embarased about how ugly my teeth look. U can't imagine the anxiety I go thru at the thought of seeing a dentist - sheer panic. A friend recommended Dr Hagiliassis who was amazing. I felt so at ease from the moment I walked in the door. i felt safe and comfy and strangely relaxed thru-out. I can now finally smile - thanx heaps to all at albert square dental. Great team - great environment - and i highly recommend this place. -

I can't believe going to the dentist could actually be a pleasant experience!! The staff are friendly and helpful, answered all my questions and talked me through the pros and cons of different dental treatments to help me choose the most appropriate. I was always scared of going to the dentist because of the pain, but was surprised at how little discomfort I felt due to the best efforts of the staff to make sure I was comfortable the whole time!! I now get so many compliments on my smile and it's thanks to the wonderfully talented staff at Albert Square Dental!! :-) -
