I had the Australiana Foccacia with sausages (around $15 - totally over-priced due to quality), the stale bread was toasted, the egg was cooked like a flat omelet and absolutely tasteless. Honestly, the eggs taste better at McDonald's, I am not joking. The foccacia was laced with a salsa that left a bad taste in my mouth, bacon and a sliced up sausage. The flavour of the salsa killed the natural taste of the ingredients. Go in to pay your bill and you can see the sandwiches pre-made and ready to toss out to customers. There is no love or pride in this establishment, just a fast food cafe. The latte was average but no better than my percolated vittoria coffee. How disappointing. I am a local so I would suggest trying many other wonderful cafes in West End. Don't waste your time or money here. -
The most expensive coffee I've ever purchased.. 5 smackers for only a good coffee.. Setting and atmosphere is relaxed and friendly.. Needed to be after forking $15 for 3 coffees.. almost died.9 months ago via TrueLocal for iPhone

Alberto's coffee is always wonderful, and even if there's a crowd (which there usually is), takeaways don't take too long at all. And it's lovely to hear Italian. Everyone knows how to make a decent cup, so there's no risk of copping the dud coffee-maker! -

This has to be one of my favourite cafes in Brisbane - possibly my favourite! Outstanding in terms of ambience, location, food, coffee and value. Being nestled down the end of Montague amongst quiet streets rather than in the main cafe precints in West End make this little corner cafe extra cosy. Amazing service with the typical warmth and flare you'd expect from an Italian owner and his staff. Coffee is great, as well as the food which is lovely and reasonably priced. Love the arancinis and the Italian pastries! Overall a beautiful cafe that makes you almost feel like you're in Europe!
