    This pub needs a facelift
    Or an atmosphere boost to be popular. It's a drinking hole for a small and smokey group of regulars. Not a place to go if you are hosting a family
    Party, or any other sort of celebration. Has the worlds wonkiest pool table too. Great staff and music but the rest is just plain! I frequently overlook it as a destination for catch up drinks with friends when they ask what pub or bar is nearby.. Sad cause

    Had dinner on a Monday night, which meant cheaper steak, which was good. However, meals took approximately 40 minutes to arrive, which was interesting given that we were the first table seated and it definitely was not a busy night.

    Quality of the food was quite good.

    Would recommend it, except there was one problem - the gents had no soap dispenser at all. This made me feel uneasy as I could not see a separate staff toilets, and wondered how the male kitchen staff would wash their hands.

    Had dinner at the hotel again last night, ( really find their vouchers one of the best discounts in town, ) but I write because we both had the $32. rib on the bone with a mash that included bacon and onion and accompanied with a jus. The rib was cooked to perfection and the mash really tasty. The service was pretty good also.

    So great to be able to go to the local pub that is still like a real pub! Not one of these generic makeovers that seems to be taking over all the pubs in Australia. The food is brilliant too, probably the best steak I've had in Brisbane. Service is lovely too.
