I was convinced into having my furniture put into their storage in November 2011. I called the company in January and enquired why no payments had been taken from my account? Their response 'your paperwork has been on the bottom of the pile and hasn't been processed yet, we'll take the payment of $250 tomorrow'. I then enquired late January how I can see my furniture, I was told they had lost my paperwork and didn't know which container it was in. A couple of weeks later they stopped answering their mobile, changed mobile numbers and business line didn't work. No street address is stated on their website or yellow pages add so I had no idea where all my furniture even was! The staff called and said they had been trying to take payments from my account with no luck. Since January I haven't had a payment taken from my account, meaning now they are looking for a lump sum payment of another $250. I have asked numerous times to SEE my furniture and have been told 'it's not our storage facility, we are not on site, so you need to give us 2 days notice so we can be there to let you in'. I just received a call saying 'you won't be able to see your furniture tomorrow as we have put other people's furniture in your container as you haven't paid us and we won't have staff on site to move the other furniture out, so you will have to call next week to make another time'!!!!!!!!!! IT'S MY FURNITURE!!!!!!!!! I shouldn't have to go through all this to see MY FURNITURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Worst company I have ever used. And I don't say this lightly. Having used All Suburb Removals to move house back in 2009, they convinced me to use their storage facilities instead of a large self storage company, assuring me that our furniture and collection of some 3000 vintage books would be safe. They assured me that the storage container was sealed and fumigated monthly. On several visits to their Nerang facility over the years to check on things I was denied access as it is not self storage. Moving back to Australia in Feb 2012, after paying $250 on time every month for nearly 3 years and their moving fees, they delivered all of our things, in a disappointing condition. I was still asked to pay the nearly $700 removal bill.
I would recommend anyone considering using this company to strongly reconsider. Absolutely any other company than this. They are unprofessional, rude and slow working. Unfortunately I had no insurance as they convinced me it was unnecessary.
I would like to make clear that all of our things, hundreds of antique books and some furniture that had been in my family for nearly 100 years was in a disappointing condition to the point of disintergration when they tried to move it. This company is not just disappointing, they had no interest in helping or hearing anything I had to say about the massive amount of damage incurred to all of our property due insect infestation while in their storage. They claim they fumigate but not only were books and furniture infested with white ants, all the boxes were teeming with roaches.
Nice guys, bought beers for efforts but would NOT recommend at all. They were slow, the laundry door paint was guaged and my washing machine was broken and will not work at all. All I wanted was my washing machine repaired but when I contacted the business they said it was not covered to be repaired and I was offered a 10% discount on my next move...for someone who moves regularly and tries to support local business, I will not use or recommend this business.
