    If you decide to use their services then I can only suggest that you get a written quote before they start work and make sure that you check to see if it includes labour. Even so, work is of a poor standard and parts supplied are not appropriate.

    ***Point 1: Deception***
    To cut a long story short we took something in to be repaired. After being quoted a price to repair the goods (which we agreed to) on collection the price had ballooned nearly 300% because of additional 'labour' and also 'repair' costs that we had not agreed to. After enquiring about the nature of these costs we were told that we had only been quoted for the parts not the labour. We asked "why have we been charged additional labour and repair costs?" We were informed "no one has invented a system whereby parts that are required to be fitted to a piece of machinery jump into place... ...without the input of someones labour". But the point here is why were we not informed that there would be additional, ludicrous, labour charges on top of the price we were quoted.

    Alormac are deceptive in their business practices and capitalise on those who do not specifically request a written quote. According to Alormac, its normal policy is to hold your goods to ransom until you pay what ever fees they want to charge! If you don't they send you a threatening letter, which is mostly written in English, saying that if you don't pay immediately they will pass the details on to a debt collector. There is no willingness to even communicate and resolve the matter in a civil way.

    ****Point 2: Poor quality repairs and wrong parts.****
    Despite paying large amounts of money for parts and labour and also repairs, work was of a terrible standard. Work charged for, was not carried out and spare parts supplied were not the same as indicated. Be sure to check the quality of the repairs and any spare parts you purchase before leaving the workshop because if its not right, its not their problem since they "did not install the part". This is despite the fact that the part can not be installed because it is the wrong one!!!

    Overall I have to say this is the worst company I have ever dealt with, and can only hope that others do not fall into the same trap I did, by not requesting a written quote and confirming, in writing, that it includes all costs.
