    I booked in a gas oven and asked for a quote which I received and authorised the following business day when I was told the spare parts were in stock and the repair would be done within three to four days. When I rang on the fourth day it was clear that they had forgotten to order the parts. I rang three days later.. eventually two weeks after I had dropped in the appliance they rang and advised the first quote of $227 was wrong, the repair would now be $487 and they would have to order in parts.

    In other words, they stuffed up on the initial quote, forgot to order parts and then expected me to meekly agree. I collected my oven but unfortunately left $40 - they refused to refund the $80 quote fee despite totally inept service, only refunding $40.

    This business REALLY needs a WAKE UP call and I agree with the negative reviews here- their service is horrible. Their staff give excuses for status on repair. Don't expect them to call you after an unreasonably long wait. They are the appointed repairer for some major brands and not cheap! I wish enough people read reviews before doing business with a company like this. I wish I had done so. I will Never use them again.

    Big mistake calling them--dont do it!! Charged me a callout fee of $132.!! They were here for 10 mins max and twiddled a few nobs.didnt even take the cover off my washing machine.told me i needed a new timer and would call back with a quote.I ended up ringing them!!They had taken down my number incorrectly so had rung someone else with the quote.Wait for it---- the quote for a replacement timer was going to be over $450!!!! this is on top of the call out fee. That means a total of over $580--OMG!!!! Asked for the management to call me back with a better figure but never got a phone call!!!
    Went with another operator who replaced the timer plus more--total charge $280(including callout fee of $60!!!)
    I wasted $132 on these guys.

    I phoned these people on Friday 6th am and was told that someone would call me back that day or evening.. It is now Tuesday 10th can still no call. Speaks for itself about the service !!

    Worst customer experience ever!!! Staff were extremely rude to me, the customers before me and even customer after me!! Strongly recommend going elsewhere - I will NEVER go back there again, surprised places like this are still in business....!!

    They charge you for service call then say they you need a part they will order it and it will get fixed in 3 days. A month passes - no words from them you chase them until it's been 7 months. And they still charge you for full price.

    Worst company to ever deal with. In the process of writing a complain letter to consumer rights. If you don't want any hassle - then don't waste your time with Alpha Appliances in Cammeray.

    Called Alpha Appliance when my washing machine went bang. June was very kind and informed as to what the problem could be. She organised a mechanc to asses the issue the next morning.
    True to their word the next day Peter turned up, declined a cup of tea and set straight to work. Found the blown circuit board in no time. Said he could solder a temporary fix, but advised to replace the part. Set about it. 10 mins later it's up and running and he's away.

    I will not hesitate to use this company again. they know exactly what they are doing and they are in touch with what the customer requires. I have no intent of replacing something that cost more than the machine in the first place and they recognised this.

    alpha appliances do not turn up when they say they will.
    they said they fixed my fridge, took my money and left.
    the fridge does not work and they will not return my phone calls.
    do NOT use these people !!

    Alpha recently made a repair to my fridge and I have to say that they went out of their way (literally) to help. I live on the Northern Beaches, and when we realised that they couldn't get to my house at a time I could be there, John arranged for a recently retired ex-staff member (Ed, still licensed), who lives in the area to drop in at a time that suited me.
    Ed was exactly on time, professional and friendly, not at all put of by the bomb-site that is our house, and had the problem diagnosed, fixed and tested in half an hour.
    I will definitely use these guys again should I need to.

    Rang Alpha to get a price for a vacuum cleaner part and they said they would call me back. No follow up. Rang again - no follow up. Rang today (6 weeks after the initial call) to be asked all the same questions that I had been asked before - they obviously can't look at the information I had already given to them many times. In response to my suggestions that their customer service was non existent was 'OK'. That says it all.
