    Now known as the Alto Bar, and with a new impressive veranda out the back, the Brisbane Powerhouse really is the place to be.
    Excellent wines, Stella on tap and snacks you'd chew your mothers left hand off to eat. Every Sunday is free music, and there is always an exhibition of immense quality on the walls for free. Take in the views of the Brisbane River, stroll through New Farm park next door.
    Free parking, regular theatre and comedy shows with tickets at decent prices.
    The Powerhouse has come a long way over the years, and it is proving itself to be not only THE center for the Arts, but a groovy place to chill with friends afterwork or on the weekends. Try it once for yourself. It really is a great afternoon out with friends.
