The owners are slowly renovating this hotel which is making it much more pleasant to visit. After a long absence I was pleased to find that the food is still good. The prices still make it great value. The service, as always, is great.

Chicken Schniztels are delicious and the staff are friendly. Not too long a wait on meals and the upstairs eating area is quite nice.

This is one of those old pubs that have been around for a long time, so dont check out the decor too closely. Just go and have a lunch time drink with friends. They have fantastic drink specials and I really like the upstairs balcony bar. Plenty of people there, and the staff behind the bar are really friendly. It is what it is, an old pub....with a few stories to tell.

Always guaranteed a good meal here for a reasonable price. Staff are always friendly and efficient. Pays to book as it can get busy at lunchtimes.
