I was a new client who asked for copper (I was already copper but wanted to go lighter). I ended up with fluro bright red hair (think Elmo). I asked for a correction. I ended up with bleach hair, 2 tones in my hair (still very red close to the scalp where my regrowth was and a light copper everywhere else).

The only thing I can praise them for is that they recognised the huge mistake and are giving me a refund of my money after I asked for it. Honestly, far too much stress and anxiety.

I would suggest to Ambo Ars that they consider duty of care for their clients, when they are returning to get a colour correction, not to put the same staff who made the original mistake, in charge of the correction.

Highly disappointed, but of course I do I feel bad for the other staff to have to apologise for the mistake of the staff and ultimately lose a first time client.

I was looking forward to visiting this salon after a friend ravied about it. I left feeling quite disappointed as they didn't do the colour properly and after 3 hours of my time wasted I had to go back and have it fixed.

After returning and having the colour corrected I was asked how I'd like my hair dried and I said 'straight'. At no point was I advised of a charge and was asked to pay $65 for the blow dry and paid it out of pure shock. I even mentioned that I was not advised of the charge and the staff told me to put my pin in to pay. Lovely!! I was given the impression it was complimentary and so it should have as the job was not done properly when I first visited the salon.

I wrote a letter to request for the $65 to be reinbursed and the management contacted me. They were incredibly rude and so unprofessional. They thought I was trying to get something for free when in fact I was given the impression it was complimentary. If I was being a cheapskate I wouldn't have bought a $42 product.

The management said if I wasn't happy with the service that I didn't have to return. You'd think that a small business would be smart enough to rectify the problem in hope of me returning. I have nothing good to say about this salon. After trying to reason with her they ended up hanging up on me!!! Do yourself a favour and avoid this salon at all costs.
