    Went fishing with a mate over the weekend, stayed here for the night, had a great time. Really nice friendly pub, clean comfortable, simple rooms, good grub at the bistro. Staff are very friendly too. We're planning on making it our base camp next fishing trip. Great place for an overnight getaway that's close to Sydney and the Central Coast.

    Well this was a momentous disappointment for myself and my friends. We made the short journey from Woy Woy to celebrate a friends birthday. The beer garden/terrace was lovely to sit in, the sun was shining and the menu looked oh so tempting.

    We quickly ran into a few issues with the configuration of the seating. As the tables/chairs are all one unit, we weren't able to push tables together to accommodate our big group. Secondly, the umbrellas weren't adjustable, meaning we were taking it in turns to sit in the shade.

    The bar is lovely and the staff here were friendly.

    After choosing my order off the menu, I then proceeded to line up to order. This took about 20 minutes (must have been a big lunch rush for 1:30pm) Meal after meal came out of the kitchen, however my cold seafood platter (1/2 Mud Crab, Natural Oysters and Prawns) was nowhere to be seen. Finally my friends fishermans baskets arrived. The majority of this meal was inedible. The chips tasted like they had been cooked in very old oil, and not drained properly. They were also a little on the undercooked side.

    My plate of seafood finally arrived and I tucked into the crab and oysters with gusto. I was very disappointed with the prawns. They were small, soft shelled and obviously frozen. Not what I was expecting for seafood adjacent to the Hawkesbury River.

    I will venture there again in the future. I really enjoyed my brief stroll through out the main street of the town and I enjoyed the lovely cold beers on tap. The bookshop across the road is source of a lot of time wasting :)

    Ate at the bistro and I can honestly say it was the worst meal I've had in a long long time. We all had fish and chips, the chips were soggy and soaked in oil and the fish was so so greasy.

    Very pleasant place to stop for a drink and a meal. Nothing fancy but it has a great relaxed vibe. Meals are always good and its just lovely sitting on the deck on a sunny day
