    someone hit my car from behind on Milton Rd and broke the light & bumper.took the car to this shop. didn't care that much as it was a cheap car but got surprised by good job they had done. perfect color match on the bumper and firm bumper installation.
    bad thing: A finger print of car's paint was left on interior cloth of the door. not too bad yet!

    I got some non-insurance work done recently by Apex - front bumper replaced, front and rear painted and a couple of minor touch ups on an Audi A3. I was quite hesitant who to go with - the work was cosmetic and not the result of an accident so the decision was mine not an insurer's. I'm quite particular and I've found most work done by smash repair shops in the past on friends and families cars to be of fairly poor quality. Overall I'm pleased with the result of their work. The paint had extremely few inclusions (a sign of good filtration in their paint booth and a clean drying area) and was a good colour match. It wasn't pefect - there was some build up on corners and some very minor imperfections but none that were too obvious - wouldn't be noticed by 90% of people and wouldn't affect resale of my vehicle. Customer service was excellent and my car was ready ahead of time. I would recommend this company to friends based on my experience.

    My car was BRAND NEW when I was hit and it was taken to Apex. 4 weeks later I finally got it back and it was BAD. New damage, parts broken from incorrect installation or mishandling, major paint blemishes, parts not correctly secured and unrepaired damage on the underbody. Took it back to the insurance company and they agreed with me and sent it back the same day.

    Another 2 weeks later I got it back, a lot better but still rough however 6 weeks without my car was hurting me as I needed it for work. I would have loved to send it back again but what's the point it just would have been a never ending cycle. Thie stuff wrong with it the second time was stuff cause from them trying to dodgy up the first mistakes. The metal work side of things was great but the painting and re-assembly was very poor and it's for this reason the repairs stand out like dog in a horse race.

    I have to just cop the pineapple this time around and hope I don't lose too much when I sell it. $5000 less than market value ($52,360 redbook private sale minimum) and still everyone walks away cause they can see the repairs. Best offer 40K.

    Lesson learnt.. don't go to Apex smash repairs.

    I had firstly gone to Apex to get a RACQ quote, which they did very promptly. I then booked my car into be serviced with them and had to change the booking 2 due to reasons out of my control. Staff were extremely helful and accomodating, saying that they could help me out in any way possible. My car required major repair work because of an accident. Someone dropped me home and as well dropped the car off after it was completed in only 4 days (compared with other companies who have taken much longer). Apex had ordered the parts so they'd be ready for my car and could start as soon as it was dropped off. The car was repaired early and waiting at my house when I got home from work shiny clean and repainted as well as this Apex Smash Repairs had cleaned the whole interier of the car! This is Company which definately scores 5 stars in all areas: customer service, workmanship, and promptnes I was extemely amazed at what a wonderful company this was!
