    Last year in September I got married to my wonderful husband and have never been happier. Unfortunately during a family trip to the beach my husband lost his wedding ring, which he was most upset about. I was touched by how much it obviously meant to him with how upset he was and promptly reminded him we are both happy and healthy and the ring was insured so we could replace it.

    However, when we started the insurance process we quickly found that the ring had increased in value since we got married, and the value we insured the ring for wouldn't secure us a replacement. My husband and I looked for a year to find a ring he actually liked (I know it is the woman that is meant to be particular right! LOL) but he really loved this ring.

    I found the large chain store that we initially purchased the ring through had staff who were unsympathetic to what had happened to us. Furthermore, they were unhelpful, unfriendly and provided a quote for $1000 more than the valuation they provided less than a year ago. They kept talking about the changing price of gold and diamonds (for which there were none in this ring) and that they would provide the insurance company a 20% discount or if I could get the money myself they would give me a 30% discount. This showed that the company was not interested in our return business considering we had purchased an engagement ring and two wedding rings with them worth approximately $9000 in total.

    Arana Jewellers turned this horrible experience into a good one when the owner happilly offered to help a newly married couple (struggling with their first years into a mortgage) to get the ring replaced for the amount we insured it for. They were more interested in creating a long term happy returning customer and doing a wonderful thing rather than being money hungry. The owner of this shop listened, empathised, was friendly (along with the other staff) and was down to earth.

    I was very excited to call the insurance company this morning and tell them who's name to put on the cheque - Arana Jewellers. I have already called all my family to tell them what a wonderful experience and what wonderful customer service they offered, and have signed up to true local for the first time to ensure that I share this experience with other shoppers. If you want friendly service and to know that you have been charged a reasonable price I would 100% recommend that you shop at Arana Jewellers.

    I have also shopped at larger jewellery stores until i shopped at showcase jewellers at arana hills, the staff are friendly, courteous and happy which seems to be a rare customer service these days. They explain differences in gold and diamonds by showing you different pieces and different prices so you can actually see where your money is going. If you miss buying something in the gift range and they more than happy to order a piece in for you. I no longer shop at the larger stores. 5 stars.
