Archive is an interesting place. On the outside, it is your typical pub. Inside, however, Archive is a funky place with something for everyone. We went on a Monday night which was games night so it was free pool, darts and Nintendo Wii for us! We all ordered the Monday night special- $10 gourmet burgers and chips. Very tasty! I don't know if I will go back as it was not really my kind of atmosphere but the selection of beers was very, very impressive- the boys were certainly happy!

    G'day Guys

Hey ya gotta check out the Archives Beer Boutique & WOW what a awesome homely place to relax in & chill, as I do home micro brewing & have my own beer keg fridge so I just had to see what this place is about. The website is awesome & the food menu looks fantastic & plus there are pool tables to have a crack at. So why not come on down & try their range of craft beer on tap or buy a slab to take home with you.

Cheers & catch ya later guys.

I stepped inside Archives, working my way through their outdoor dining area, full of smiling happy people 2 Sundays gone past. When you see every face with a smile when you enter it really does give you a good impression of the place. Once you step inside it's open plan, you can see 2 pool tables to your right, a bar (made of book stacks) to your left and a selection of comfortable seating arrangements for you and your friends to lounge on towards the large back area.

They have an extensive list of beer and meals to choose from, with recommendations of specific beers to go with your meal.

With their wonderful selection of drinks, not to mention their friendly atmosphere, my friends and I stayed long into the night enjoying their tasty snack food. We had haloumi, quail, a nice cheese platter and hot chips among other things. We had to ask for more lavosh crackers for the cheese platter, but that may have been a testament to our love of lavosh. Either way they were happy to oblige.

We enjoyed ourselves immensely, weather it was just chatting at the bar or playing pool. I'd like to think that I could go there more often as it was a nice night out without any of the hassles you find in most pubs and clubs.

I guess the only thing I can be negative about is their toilet, which I found smelled completely foreign to me. I have since returned and found it smelled the same both times. It's a little disturbing, but not going to stop me from returning.

Thank you Archives. I'll see you again soon. Cheers!

Straddling the boundary between the CBD and the West End lies the aptly named Archive Beer Boutique. With more than 100 varieties of amber fluid to tickle your fancy, this place is hard to beat. There’s an emphasis on Australian-made craft beer (think Stone & Wood, 3 Ravens and St Arnou-type brews), plus there’s loads of nooks and crannies in which to chill out with a leather-bound volume of the Reader’s Digest. If you’re feeling more active check out the pool room which conveniently doubles as a dance floor when there’s live music.
