Aria is a sophisticated and elegant restaurant with one of the best views in Sydney. Wine and dine on a delicious selection of Modern Australian cuisine, while soaking in the view across Sydney Harbour. The restaurant is open weekdays for lunch from 12pm-2:30pm and dinner from 5:30pm-11:30pm, as well as Saturdays from 5pm-11:30pm and Sundays from 6pm-10:30pm. With the Opera House right at its doorstep, Aria also takes bookings for pre-theatre dinners, 5:30pm-7pm weekdays and 5pm-7pm Saturdays.

    The view of the place is truly amazing. It is definitely worth it to go there just for the experience of enjoying the water while eating. The menu is fine, yet a little overpriced. However, the service is great and it completes this great restaurant.

    Wow! How can you not be impressed. The staff are amazing, the food is second to none, the lunchtime prices are very reasonable & the atmosphere is brilliant. I have to say the staff have got it very right with being very attentive & professional & polite when you need them, but have the right blend of also giving you space to chat & enjoy your courses & friends company as well without unnecessary interruptions. We we all very impressed on every level & can't wait to go back again..& again..& again. Did I mention the view? Wow!

    Where do I start??? View . . . Spectacular, Food . . . Superb Service . . . Amazing! We were there for a 50th birthday! Not one person walked away hungry or disappointed! We raved for hours after we left! lol Every person I have spoken to about Aria mentioned the Mash Potato, they weren't wrong! We loved it that much we ordered more! The Peking Duck dumpling Consomme was heavenly! The Salmon was absolutely superb and the coconut panacotta . . . DIVINE!!! Our waiter was wonderful and very friendly and very professional! Matt Moran you are a legend!!! AAA+++++++

    A beautiful restaurant with an amazing view. I went to Sydney for a weekend so booked weeks in advanced to get a reservation here. I had the tasting menu for 2 and a bottle of wine. It is expensive, but well worth it. The sunset over the harbour bridge, the candle lit dinner, the nice ambience, friendly & professional staff followed by an amazing tasting menu that spans over a few hours. If you're visiting Sydney or a local and haven't been, this is one of those restaurants that you'll do once.

    Wow! That is one word I kept telling myself on every bite I made! The food is excellent, the ambiance is perfect and staff is absolutely the best! Aria made our special night a real "Special Night" every minute spent was such an experience!

    Food is absolutely amazing, every bite is full of flavor and you would want to keep that flavor in your mouth! Scallops and Pork Belly as Entree' are cooked perfectly! The wine chosen for us matches perfectly to my beef and my partner's Chicken! The most amazing mashed potatoes I have ever tried, I found in Aria! A must order with your Main Course!

    Finally, we made it through dessert, We ordered the Mango Souffle and Panacotta, We are so surprised to have "Happy Anniversary" written on our dessert plates! What a lovely gesture that made our night such an experience!
    And by the way, desserts are the BOMB! I'm in love with the whole caramelized souffle! mouth watering strawberries in our panacotta!

    I have no idea what the below reviews have experienced, I am beginning to think they might have went to a different resto, because this is such an amazing place to be from top to finish!

    This was the perfect eating experience. As soon as we walked into the doors we were greeted warmly and shown to our table quickly, we had a fantastic view of the bridge as the sun went down! They brought out a complimentry thai pumpkin soup for us to start with, it was delicious! I selected the lamb which was cooked to perfection and then the passionfruit souffle which words cannot express how amazing it is! They also brought out a complimentry tasting plate of small desserts for us to try. I definately recommend both meals!
    We did spend quite a bit of money (which we expected) but i had such a lovely experience and would recommend the restaurant to anyone, definately the best way to eat in Sydney!

    My sister and I had travelled to Sydney on a weekend holiday and had decided to give Aria a try since it was very close to the Opera House. This restaurant is expensive (we paid about $100 each) and I believe some meals may not be to everyones taste. I would reserve this for a very special ocassion, as you get the beautiful views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House.

    The service was friendly and attentive. I did not have to request my glass to be filled with water once. My sister, who went to the lavatory, had her serviette folded while she was gone. I was tempted to ask them to do mine too, the waitress was that quick and accurate at folding it. I was surprised the bathroom had cloth handtowels, which is not something I'm used to seeing at restuarants.

    We were given complimentary sourdough sliced bread or bun with butter. I am not a fan of sourdough bread, but it was lovely with the shotglass potatoe and chives soup (also complimentary).

    We both don't drink, so I cannot review the alcoholic list. There was the usual soft drinks and juice to choose from. I had the Peking duck consomm, which was nice. I didn't have the last 1/4 of it, as I would have preferred more dumplings to finish it off with. My favourite entree, which was chosen by my sister, was the pork belly with pickled watermelon. The combination, although wierd sounding on paper was delicious and if I wasn't saving room for the next courses I would have finished it off.

    For the main I had the sirloin and my sister had the lamb. I preferred my sirloin, although both were cooked to moutwatering perfection. We only had to order one side of truffled mash potatoe, which was enough for 2 - 3 people. If my sister and I weren't getting so full we would have polished off the last couple of spoonfulls. We both thought it had to be loaded with butter and cream it was too good tasting.

    For dessert my sister had pineapple sorbet bombe and vanilla icecream. I had the strawberries, sorebet and biscuit. Again both were delicious and the plates were empty of any last tasty morsel. At the end we were given complimentary petit fours, which I just about squeezed in. By the end we were both about bursting from all the deliccious food we had.

    Wow - my husband and I went here for our anniversary on Saturday and it was fantastic - the service was formal but friendly, the cocktails were delicious and the food was amazing. I had the crab and my husband had the pork belly for entree and we both had the beef for mains. The sommelier matched glasses of wine for us perfectly. Sadly we couldn't fit in dessert, so tea and petit four to end. My only issue (besides a noisy patron nearby, which can't be helped) was that the tea, which was delicious was not brewed properly - it should be brewed at the bar and then the leaves removed, otherwise it ends up being bitter (which is what happened after a few minutes). But if that's my only complaint, you get the idea of how wonderful Aria is!!!

    We come from Melbourne we came to go to Matt Moran's restaurant
    We were disappoint with our visit.
    The service was great but not friendly and the food not so great.
    I had the George whiting with had not flavour.
    We went to the Pier Restaurant at Rose bay, just wonderful, great service and great food and spent as much as we did on the Saturday night.
