Great food and friendly service in a stunning location. Took some elderly relos here and they were treated like royalty. Freshly prepared and varied menu (I'm so over pre-prepared seafood and stale salad) is wonderful. Excellent value for money. A friend who is in the catering trade rates it 5 stars for efficiency.

Had a great work lunch here, the atmosphere is worth a couple of stars by itself - sitting right by the water and watching the world go by (though if it were raining you'd be a bit stuck, as there's no roof outside).
Staff really friendly and helpful, certainly knew their menu well and happy to take time to recommend a dish or describe it.
Food to be honest was OK but more 'gourmet' than actually especially tasty in my opinion, and prices about on par to what you'd expect to pay somewhere similar. Worth it for a special meal.

We really enjoyed this Cafe. in the area to do some Geocaching and enjoy the area. Meals were wonderful and reasonably priced, about the same as most Sydney cafes... The food and service made it more than acceptable. The staff are very friendly and even allowed our dog in the outside area and gave her a bowl to drink from :) this pleased us greatly. We look forward to coming back again. What an amazing children's play area, if only I was 20 years younger lol.

While it is a nice place, the position is just beuatiful beside the Parramatta River in a nut shell, it's just a cafe and seemed a tad over rated. The proceedure to book a table was like booking at a 4 star restuarant. The staff were very friendly, the service and meal was excellent, but seemed over priced for what the cafe is. With some great parkland near by it's a great meeting place for families. Could do with some better cover outside especially when it's raining, there wasn't anyplace outside to stand and wait without getting wet.

Great place for breakfast or lunch on a nice day. We cycled here to meet up with some friends and thoroughly enjoyed having breakfast here. The lazy Saturday morning breakfast was the perfect thing to do to break up the bike ride there and back. I ordered baked eggs and a hot chocolate which were both winners. The Saturday morning crowd consisted of young families, older couples and of course... cool kids like us.

If you are cycling in or around Homebush, it's worth making the trip out here for a meal.

On a beautiful Saturday morning- there is nothing like a leisurely breakfast with friends. Set in the premises of the Homebush Parklands the lush grasslands and glistening water form a gorgeous backdrop to this army inspired cafe. Modern, yet true to its name- this cafe has a large open air area shaded by camo nets (for anyone who has served the army- this may bring back memories). THe service was friendly and prompt- Baked eggs and chorizos served in the pan, Traditional English breakfast with thickly cut toast, mushrooms, tomatoes and complimented with warm loose leaf earl grey tea.
This place is popular with families with young children, and with the parklands in the same vicinity I would also recommend to bring your bikes and a picnic rug. There is plenty of parking and if you don't have your own bike- there's a rental store nearby. With breakfast items priced at around $14 this place is good value. Overall, a relaxing experience and my friends and I are happy to have found another venue to have breakfast.
Hint: You can book a table online to make sure you and your family/friends get a spot!
