Tucked discreetly behind the main Ivy building, Ash St Cellar is a beautifully designed bistro and wine bar with a charmingly intimate, European feel. Join the communal table, or find yourself a quiet table in the romantic paved laneway outside. Renowned sommelier, Franck Moreau presides over a world-class wine list, creatively categorised according to nose, palate and colour. The deliciously decadent tapas menu designed by Lauren Murdoch is sure to complement any selection. Ash St Cellar is a cosy little piece of Paris, in the heart of Sydney. Open Monday to Friday - 12pm until late

Sit in the laneway at the back of the Ivy complex for a large glass of red and cheese plate under the stars. Feel very French Riviera eating al fresco. Or maybe a little bit Melbourne with that great food in a laneway find. Laura Murdoch’s kitchen plates up cheeses from around the world and the handsome waiters will bring the wines to match or even choose them for you. For the blokes and the hungry, they do a mean steak frites.

The wine's good, the food's great but it's all too simple for this talented chef.
