    Asian Kitchen Guy was the obvious - and only - choice for Monday night sushi in its particular section of Sydney Road. Although we entered during dinnertime, this bright, clean and spacious restaurant was worryingly empty. Staff cheerfully got up from their meal to serve us, and brought out prawn crackers while my dinner companions and I perused the menu. I told myself they were just broken and not nibbled. Meals were excellently priced and served swiftly, but menus were not removed after ordering. As a sushi connoisseur/addict, I can declare that their salmon and avocado hand rolls were flawless, delicious, and served with pickled ginger. Their tofu stir fry, however, was disappointingly substandard, with near-raw vegetables. The atmosphere was ruined by Gold FM playing at an intrusively loud volume, but I did appreciate the provision of forks alongside chopsticks. While I would not recommend Asian Kitchen Guy for any sort of romantic occasion, I endorse it for fast, friendly informal dining at cheap prices.
