I love my Italian food, food here was tasty, pleased with my choice and my partner liked what they had. had read other reviews and was a bit cautious. One of those places you need to make your own mind up. Would I come back? yes.

Awesome decor, friendly staff...all looked great as we walked in and sat down. I must say i think they need to find a way to dampen the sound, very hard to talk in there but i guess thats a norm for some cafes. Ordered a starter, and a main, starter came out in reasonable time, main took 3/4 of an hour. Simply not good enough
Food seemed excessively salty, and rather pricey for what it is.
    I can say i would give it a 6.5/10
I doubt very much i would dine there again.

Nice atmosphere but I think the Menu was a little over priced. At a place considered fine-dining, its about the quality not the quantity, and unfortunately my friends and I believe that it was the other way around when we went there for a birthday dinner. The Antipasti we had at the start was quite filling which was good in a way but we still had mains to go... My main i ordered was ok, better than what they had anyways. My friends veal was overcooked and chewy and the cheese mash on top was way too cheesy, and my other friends lamb chops was cooked well over medium-rare which was what she ordered - the sauce for it as well wasn't that great.
What did make up for our Mains though was the Dessert - delicious was the Panacotta and the Vistorta, the Semi Freddo though wasn't as great though, the pistachio nuts could have been chopped up more rather than chunks and instead of me pouring the espresso over it myself, the waiter had picked it up and poured it all over it when he was us what each piece was.... Very nice of him, but i would have liked to have done it myself as I'm not a fan of coffee much....
The service was good, the waiters kind and professional. Service was quite quick too which was good.
I'm not sure if I'd choose to go back on my own note though, maybe if someone decided they want to go there and i had no choice i would.

If your looking for that romantic night out, this is the place to go in Adelaide. Assaggio Ristorante is a fantastic restaurant with a beautiful intimate interior, outstanding service and to match, amazing food.

The staff here know what they are serving, even down to what type of oil is used for the dipping bread. They even know where it comes from.... Well at least they told us so, but the main thing is that I bought every word they said. It didn't matter really, the entire experience was just fulfilling.

The food itself was well made with solid portion sizes. Assaggio is an Italian restaurant more than a Modern Australian one. If you live in Adelaide, mark it on your list to visit if you haven't already. If your from interstate, then make sure you book whilst visiting.

I highly recommended it to any of my friends.

The whole experience was brilliant. The service was excellent with the little extra touches making it perfect. The food was delicious - we had such a hard time choosing from the menu and the wine list is extensive which means that there's something for everyone. Don't be put off by the prices (which are actually quite reasonable) - the serves and quality make it worth it. Will definitely be returning.
