Cirque has a great menu at a reasonable price and the food definitely does not dissapoint. More than your average breakfast with fresh and vibrant flavours. The coffee is Genovese (a Melbourne company) and is really good. Visited Au Cirque a few times and it never dissapoints. It is a popular place on the weekend for breakfast though, so be prepared to wait for a table - its definitely worth it!

So many people had recommended Au Cirque for breakfast. I had the sweet corncakes which were very tasty & my partner had the chow down which was great value. Cirque is a very popular place in New Farm with a loyal customer base which says a lot. I would go back again.

You know a cafe/resaurant is good when it is 3 years between visits and it does not disappoint. Best breakfast menu in Brisbane and it delivers. A little on the expensive side and always very busy, could be twice the size, but the staff manage under difficult circumstances. When you see other award winning chefs eating breakfast there you know it is good. A culinary trumph.

Though it’s a cafe, Au Cirque rates a mention given that it’s become one of the top places in town to tuck into brunch (bookings on weekends are essential). The intimate space has polished boards, sumptuous wallpaper, and an upper-level balcony overlooking the street. Michael Hoare serves french toast with spiced poached pear, and corn cakes with crispy bacon and tomato avocado salsa drizzled in dijonnaise. Great coffee and attentive service are part of the deal.

NEW Farm cafe Au Cirque remains a place to be, thanks to its fortnightly specials and all-day breakfast, even if it is a little squeezy.

This little triumph was crowned with a small mound of leaves and a finely chopped mix of tomato, eggplant pieces and crunchy pepita seeds. It cost $14.50 or, with the addition of grilled gourmet Serrano ham from Spain, $18.50.

This delicious meal was one of the daily mirror-board specials, which change each fortnight. The other, which will have changed by the time you read this, was poached eggs on buckwheat polenta served with red lentils, grilled artichokes, and more Serrano ham, clocking in at $15. These two dishes give a very good indication of the kind of food you'll find at Au Cirque, still as popular as ever with the bright young set since Giselle and Christophe Massieu took over at the beginning of January.
