    I booked a job and they quoted me a very low rate to get the business. After the job was done they charged me $55 per hour more than the quote. Then they didn't have enough change to provide me so I had to pay MORE and they wouldn't give me back my change. I took this company to the Dept of Fair Trading and won!!!! They also refused to pick up the boxes like promised.

    I called Aussie Home Removals a week ago to book a job. They were due to be at my place at 8am. By 10am, they still have not showed up and they have not answered their phone or responded to my messages. I have taken the day off work to move and as you can imagine, very frustrated sitting here waiting for them to turn up. I have now started calling other removalists and am luckily able to find someone who can move me this afternoon. The removalist I have called, said that they have had several calls similar to mine about the same removalist. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! It is a wonder that "family" businesses such as this manage to stay in business for so long. We wont be using these guys ever again!

    I called them and at first they seemed helpful so i booked them in. Closer to the date of moving I called them 5 times and each time they said they would call me back but didn't and still haven't. So now i have to find another removalist with not much time to spare. I would recommend to people to stay away from this company.

    I was very disappointed with the job that they did. They were due to arrive at 8 am, at 8:30am I rang them to see what was happening. They arrived at 9:30am an hour and a half late. They did move everything in good time but overcharged - not sure if they charged for their "travel time" as I had to rush to work because they were an hour and a half late. I did ask for a break down of the fees but did not realise that it still did not add up correctly. Later when I had time to start setting up the house I noticed that my property was damaged. There was a big chunk of wood missing from the leg of my bed and several new scratches and dents on the frame. The display on my washing machine was broken, the BBQ lid was stuck and one of the knobs broke off. When I called to discuss the matter they at first avoided my calls and then was very dismissive and most unhelpful. Very disappointing considering I had used them twice before and thought they would be more considerate!!!!!

    We will not be using Aussie Home Removals again and do not recommend them. My husband and I used them to move back to our newly built home because their hourly rate seemed reasonable, compared with other companies. We requested 3 men. Two men made every excuse not to move any furniture that required careful negotiation up the stairs to our bedrooms. The other one was the only one who got on with the job without any complaints or excuses. One of my builders was working at our house on the day of the move and he had used the Aussie and the same 2 guys and he experienced the same.

    My Husband and I organised for Aussie Home removals to pick up some furniture from my parents house last friday-they never turned up or rang to give an explanation. I left 2 messages on their mobile from 4.30pm onwards. They were supposed to deliver the furniture between 1-5pm. We are very cross this did not occur as we had organised ourselves to be ready and available. We have now hired a truck and will do the removal ourselves next week. Not good for business boys!!
