I was sent some items and they came with a return pouch from AAE, i.e. I had to use them to send these items back. I called AAE to arrange a pick up and was told I had to be home from 9-5pm and it was most likely going to be picked up between 9-1pm. So I reluctantly took the day off work and sat and waited. At 1:30 I rang, was kept on hold for 30 minutes and then told that someone had made a mistake and that they only do afternoon pickups from 1pm onwards. The staff tried to dog around but basicallly told me that there was no way to tell when they would be arriving and all I could do was to wait. Basically they had wasted my entire morning. They eventually showed up around 4, didn't knock on the door or anything. Just left a slip so now I have to go and drop it off to the airport myself. The product I am returning has to be returned within 6 days or else I have agreed to purchase it. I have informed them that if I am forced to purchase it I will be contacting the fairtrade ombudsman.
