In January we went to this cinema for the first time in over a year. Due to health concerns we don't go out much and to say the least we were terribly dissapointed both with the cinema on the night and the reaction by management afterwards. Soon after the lights went down a couple sat next to my wife stinking of alcohol and throughout the movie they continued to drink out of brown paper bags. They disturbed us a number of times going in and out (we assume to the toilets). I mentioned this to the duty manager straight after the movie and also emailed management the next day. In an email from the General Manager of Austalian Cinemas I was told they would investigate and get back to me. After a couple of weeks and having heard nothing I sent a follow-up emails and still not reply. Sent similar follow-up emails a couple more times and still not reply, not even an apology. So be warned, the next time you go there you could have alcohol smelling patrons sitting next to you and drinking more liquor while the movie is screening. We won't be back there in a hurry.

Great cinema. Plenty of parking. Good sized. Always have the latest movies there. Not as busy as other cinemas and it's not as expensive either. I'd prefer nerang cinemas to other ones on the coast.

It’s great to find a cinema on the coast that is able to give an opportunity to go out for a cheap price. The cinemas are the best but they are still good for the price. Would definitely recommend.

I've tried to go to the Nerang Cinemas on two occasions during school holiday time and couldn't get in on both occasions. This is a popular cinema because their prices are so cheap but I'm afraid I'm not prepared to risk going there again and being disappointed when I can't get in. Parking is also a huge problem there - both times I went I had to park too far away. Sorry but it gets the thumbs down from me.

I am happy to say the cinema itself for it's size is brillant!Being that I have worked in other major cinemas they are excellent.Pricing well who can complain it is affordable to all.Parking although cramped and not always available during the day in the evening is fine. Monday nights is a blast as you have an excellent clean cinema to you and only a few others. Staff appear polite and hard working(doing multiple jobs by themselves at times). Although school holidays and public holidays can be a turnoff, but with a little planning like buying tickets the day ahead can be avoided. The only little thing is that every now and again the cinema seats will not have been cleaned off from the previous viewing but at busy time can be overlooked for the price of cheap tickets and getting into the cinema on time. Overall a pleasure and well worth the price if not more so.

I've only just recently started coming to the nerang cinemas and I have no idea why i was going to any other before. The prices are unbelievable, why pay $15 to go watch a movie at some other cinema when you can pay $5 here for the same movie. Okay, the cinemas aren't quite as big as the other larger cinemas but they are still decent and you definitely get the full effect from any movie you watch. Combine that with a nice clean environment (some other cinemas have very odd distinct smells attached to them) you have a great movie theatre. The only downside is that on busy nights, it is really busy and the lineups are quite large and there is little space for parking but they are just minor inconveniences

Make sure you book via the internet or arrive in plenty of time to purchase tickets before you attend this cinema. They run on minimal staff and as I recently found most sessions are booked out in school holidays well before the session starts. Seating is not allocated, so even if you do book well ahead, it is still no guarantee of getting a decent seat.
The cinema shop is full of the usual overpriced treats but there is a coffee shop section which serves a decent coffee.
We take our own treats and have never been told we can't take them inside the cinema.
A plus for this little cinema out west of Surfers Paradise is that they offer discounts for seniors, concession card holders (including health care cards!) and students with ID.
PRICES are FANTASTIC, this little cinema just beats all the others hands down for price. Where else on the Gold Coast can you get a child in for $4.50 before 5pm?

The only cinemas to go to on the coast. They are very reasonably priced - which makes them affordable for the family. The seats are comfortable and easy to see the screen. The food is good. The only downfall is the dark car park, that can make you feel a little uneasy at night, plus extremely busy in School holidays.

Great cinema for families. Very affordable and comfortable. Finally, we can afford to go to the movies again.

They're not the largest or the most plush cinemas on the Gold Coast but they're certainly an economical option. During the day adults are $6 and after 5pm they are $7.90, which is almost half what some other cinemas charge. The service is good and they also offer a few different things in their snack bar that you don't see at every cinema. Worth checking out!
