Now with two properties, Avalanche Resort Hotel offers you a diverse range of accommodation. From lodge style bunk-rooms, budget apartments, Bed and Breakfast suites and spacious balcony apartments, we provide an accommodation solution to suit all tastes and budgets.

Both properties have their own bar and restaurant. The Avalanche bar, nestled in the snow gums, has long been a favourite haunt among locals and Buller regulars alike. Friendly service and a good time are always guaranteed. The small and cosy Avalanche restaurant serves up affordable pizzas, burgers and home style cooking for the hungry skier or snowboarder.

Our new property, Alpine Retreat, offers a traditional country hotel experience in the summer and is proud to present the newest restaurant and night spot on Mount Buller this winter season. Indulge in an all day breakfast, delicious coffee and a free game of pool during the day, or come and enjoy a cocktail and some live music after a tiring day on the slopes!

Weary bodies can rejuvenate with a relaxing swim in the Alpine Retreat indoor heated pool, or just laze about in our spa and sauna. Our games room, with table tennis, foosball, gaming consoles, big screen TV and comfy couches will appeal to both the young and young at heart.
 
Alpine Retreat is located right next to the Chamois chairlift. Pick up your skis or snowboard from our ski hire and head straight out the door.

In summer, enjoy a 4WD tour with a seasoned local who will show you all the secret jewels of the high country, while expertly maneuvering over some hair-raising terrain. Tours can be tailored to individual groups.

In winter, take advantage of our private Melbourne to Mount Buller Shuttle. We pick you up from either the airport or the Melbourne CBD and drive you straight to our door, saving time and money.
