    Unbeknown to most of the people rushing along Oxford St, there is a quaint garden oasis located away from the hustle and bustle in the form of Avido. I went here with some girlfriends for Sunday lunch and a glass of vino on the weekend, and was pleasantly surprised to find the wine garden out the back to be a somewhat secluded sanctuary.

    You could definitely give the food a miss (my risotto was certainly not the best Ive had and my friend ordered a less-than-exciting chicken salad), but its still a nice spot to have a glass of wine. While I wont rush back to Avido for the food, if youre ever on Oxford St and in need of an afternoon beverage, this place will provide it and some good service to boot. I hope it survives and builds up a following because Oxford St was crying out for a decent wine bar, but Im not 100 per cent convinced that Avido has what it takes.

    Fantastic little wine bar & restaurant. Lovely cosy little space and they have an outdoor area out the back. Standout staff - really friendly and chatty, and efficient service. And were very good at keeping my water topped up as they knew I was driving so couldn't drink that much. Great wine list and lovely menu. Definitely going back!
