Good pub food, reasonable prices and a very nice outside shady area with smokers kept down one end). Typical pub menu - go for the schnitzel. Hard to believe you are right on South Road - must be popular as the carpark gets very busy. Kid friendly too. -
The Avoca is a wonderful place for our family to enjoy a great value meal. The recent specials they had were a terrific deal. We especially loved the schnitzel nights on Tuesdays (I believe they are still going in Dec). Very good value and very generous in their serves. What a great way to relax....dinner out at the Avoca. -

The Avoca Hotel is one of the best remodel jobs on a pretty dingy, average hotel that I have seen. This is a regular lunch, drinks after netball haunt for me. The outside decking area with strip heaters in winter, and umbrellas to keep the sun off in summer is fantastic. Really dont bother to go inside too often! Staff are friendly and food and drink prices are a little above average, but they have introduced some drink specials and food is always good.
