    It was a waste of money having them inspect the pool prior to buying a property. They checked the pool over for 10 minutes - didn't touch a thing. Assured us that the pool was in good condition - we buy the house and find out after having the pool for 2 days that it is majorly leaking. This ended up costing us over 5K to fix. Other pool technicians couldn't believe that we had had an inspection done prior to buying.

    If you are going to get a pool inspected prior to buying make sure you get someone with adequate technical skills and make sure they do a leak test.
