Balmain today is Australia�s largest and longest established end to end commercial property finance; arranger, lender and manager outside of the major banks.
Using our staff of 140 located in 8 offices in Australia and New Zealand over the last 10 years we have arranged on behalf of over 12,000 property investors over $21 billion of commercial property finance (ranging from senior debt to preferred equity) sourced from over 100 bank, non bank, institutional and private lenders. Today we have some $8 billion in continuing loan relationships with many of these organisations. As well in recent years we have lent many hundreds of millions from balance sheets under our direct control.
Balmain is Australia�s 5th largest commercial mortgage trust manager, where on behalf of over 8,000 Australian investors, we manage over $800m in commercial mortgage loans.
Balmain in its own name and via AMAL Management (in which it has a substantial shareholding) provides special servicing skills to loan portfolio owners covering both residential and commercial loans in Australia and New Zealand.
Balmain�s asset management division has assisted major loan portfolio owners in restructuring over $1b of loan portfolios.
In achieving these outcomes, Balmain draws on extensive, long-standing credit origination and management skills with some 50 experienced credit, finance and property professionals across the business.
