Reviews of Bankstown Sports Club
Nice place to hang out in especially in winter where there is no where else to go and it is too cold to be outdoors. The surroundings is very nicely decorated, there is an array of restaurants and cafes you can select from. The only issue is the carpark it is a nightmare to figure out how to get from the car to the Sports Club. Who ever put the signs to the Club mustn't have any sense! or sense of direction as the signs were confusing and all over the place. If you aren't a local it could take you all night to figure out how to get to the club unless you ask someone for direction.
Bankstown Sports Club might as well be the next largest poker machines venue in Sydney after The Star. Although located in a slightly suburbian area, it is pretty much place with no holds barred.
The building occupies quite a large land, and once you enter, you can pretty much see how spacious it is. Not only that, they are also very modern, clean, and luxurious looking with and a lot of entertaining areas like restaurants, bars, lounges, and coffee shops. The restrooms are also very modern with premium hand wash and moisturiser available on every wash basin.
The gaming area is also very spacious. There are A LOT of machines including Wheel of Fortune style games not usually seen in the suburbs, and a lot of new machines too.
The staffs are also very polite, knowledgeable, and courteous. With lots of free undercover parking on the premise and very close to the train station (right via a thorough alleyway), there is no reason to not visit this place.
The one thing that is quite lacking is the mobile reception in and around the gaming area.
Even though I've moved away from Bankstown I still visit the sports club regularly.
The Chinese restaurant has amazing food, the Pizza at the Italian restaurant is to die for and the food at the Bistro is a super cheap.
It's a great place to have some drinks, play Keno or gamble a little on Pokies.
There's always something to entertain you from meat raffles, to bingo to great live bands.
The service is great no matter Where abouts you go in the club!!
It's a must visit! :)
Both Italian and Chinese restaurants within the club are beautifully themed accordingly, the pizzas in the Italian are wood-fired and brought to you within 10'-15'. Reasonably priced for what you get but the taste is great. The Chinese is a bit more expensive but the service and the meals are well worth it. Remember that these are full blown restaurants within the club so it does get busy. Go early or try and book in advance.
Went to the italian restaurant on a Fri night, not a pleasant dining experience. Its extremely noisy, the atmosphere is like sitting in a shopping centre food hall. The food is overpriced for the portion sizes that you get (equivalent to an entree size) but you pay main meal prices. The latte was almost as good as a Melbourne latte though.
Bankstown Sports Club has a pizzeria/Italian restaurant that makes the most amazing pizzas. I've been there twice and both times I've received excellent service. The pizza's are ready within 10 minutes. The staff are very friendly and very attentive to your needs. Prices are quiet reasonable. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!
