A Sicilian cucina with rustic Italian cuisine

Cosy, minimalist interior with simple, no fuss Italian cuisine just like 'nonna' would dish up. Slow cooked meatballs, sweet and sour swordfish, homemade pork and fennel sausages and the delicious Italian hot chocolate to finish are just some of the highlights on the menu. Italian beers and great local wines at reasonable prices are also available. Breakfast and lunch are served on Saturday with dinner Tuesday to Saturday.

We ate here on saturday night to celebrate my father-in-laws birthday. Being of Italian background and growing up on traditional Italian food, this is definitely one restaurant that screams "authentic." Bar Idda serves "tapas-style" traditional Sicilian dishes and extremely well priced. We ordered a number of dishes between the 4 of us and the highlights were the fried crumbed sardines, the eggplant parmigiana, the broccoli pie and the canoli with cinnamon granita.
