Bar Merlo in Brisbane is a great place to go for a smooth, warming coffee and some light snacks, sandwiches and cakes. The cafe uses coffee from their own roasting house in Fortitude Valley and is open for breakfast and lunch every weekday.

Seriously good coffee, not so flash service BUT this company is well run by a dedicated team. I think the change in staff this year at the Merlo shop on campus has let them down, but otherwise the best of the bunch.
