Baranows Lounge is located conveniently near Glenferrie station. What once was a bank is now a beautiful lounge bar. For many years, this was a lounge bar that was known for offering cigars in their also retro environment. With a few alterations it has become an equally popular bar and lounge. Their decor is relaxing and their wall is covered by bottles, creating a really stylish and classy effect. They also offer cheese platters and small snacks. Baranows Lounge is a good place to relax.

What an amazing place! Staff Brilliant, good looking and funny. Whisky, Whisky, WHISKY! I love it "Baranow's was a good choice."
knowledgable, friendly and a nice place to sit and talk. We went on a Thursday and caught some cool Jazz, loved the Octomore!

Where will the new smoking laws leave a cigar aficionado's heaven like Baranows Lounge?

ON JULY 1, the smoke haze will lift from Melbourne's bars. The stiff, chilly breeze of legislation will blow through even the most tucked away, dimly-lit, late-night, nicotine-stained hole in the wall, freshening the air and killing the fun of reprobates everywhere. As strange as it might seem now, the curl of smoke spiralling above a half-finished pot will soon be as astonishingly retro as those scenes in last century's movies where people madly puff away in offices, banks, buses, department stores and cinemas. So where does that leave places like Baranows Lounge, a cigar aficionado's heaven parked in a gracefully high-ceilinged former bank in Hawthorn?
