I stayed in this hostel in July to sort and pack tomatoes on Eatough farms. When I first came they were quite nice to me. However, when they found out that I hadn't washed and dried all my belongings before moving into the room because of bedbugs, they freaked out and yelled at me in front of the other guests. I payed 170 a week to share a room with 13 other backpackers. Worst two days of my life. -

I stayed in Barnacles last year. John and Chrstine found me a great job and I saved lots of money. The hostel was cleaned everyday and the facilities are spot on. This is a working hostel and if you are looking to party then John and Christine will not tolerate noisy drunken behaviour. I appreciated that because when you are working on farms you dont need drunk idiots making total fools of themselves at some weird hour of the morning. If you are serious about working and saving money then this is the hostel for you. Thumbs up for me
