Basera offers traditional North Indian cuisine in comfortable and  homely surrounds. 

Basera serves a wide range of dishes for all appetites vegetarians included.

THE BEST INDIAN food in Melbourne!!! Without a doubt.....we love it. Try the Bhuna Ghost....the lamb is so tender it falls apart with the slighest touch of the fork. The tandoori platter to start is incredible....yum!!!

AMAZING food, better than any other Indian anywhere I have tried in Melbourne. Always friendly. We go as often as we can!! Servings are small but we have never left hungry. LOVE IT

Probably the best indian food I have had in a long while. Both of us were very happy with all the dishes, I had the marinated lamb shank which was delicious! Plus the hosts were extreamly friendly. Will look forward to sampling more of the menu!.

Have now been several times and love the place,
if you like it small,cozy and friendly with great food,and out of the way.
This is a real gem.

The most appalling prices for Indian food I have ever come accross. To charge $8.00 for a serving of rice is criminal and the serving sizes of the curry's were half of that you would receive in any other Indian restaurant in Melbourne.
A very dissapointing experience, this restaurant put simply is really bad value for money. If the restaurant charged realistic prices especially considering it's location my experience would have been improved greatly.

  I agree, I went to this restaurant some time ago, in January and had the exact same reaction! You lucky to get four piece of meat in serve and the rest is sauce.... and thats as mentioned above, in half size as usual indian restaurant. Very expensive. Im indian and know good indian restaurants. This worst so far I have come across living in Australia. And service very very rude
