The Bavarian Bier Cafe in Chatswood was a surprisingly good spot for a quiet Sunday evening meal with friends.
I'm not usually a fan of restaurants known for serving large portions of meat. My theory is - with meat anyway - to go with quality over quantity.
We ordered five Munich Brewer's platters, a wagyu schnitzel and a salad to share between the eight of us. It was a LOT of meat but we managed to get through all of it and still fit in dessert after.
The food was actually pretty good, and while the massive meat-fest remains a bit of a blur to me, the chicken schnitzel and pork belly were my favourites.
