The Beach Palace Hotel overlooks Coogee Beach on the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney. The building itself has been standing there since 1887 and after numerous facelifts it became the Beach Palace Hotel in 1999. The venue features a cocktail and sports bar, nightclub, two restaurants and also screens all major sporting events.

While other beachside suburbs have turned their iconic pavilions into pricey restaurants, in Coogee the stunning 123-year-old building remains firmly ‘for the people’ as a laid back pub. Once upon a time it had swings, rocking horses and a herd of 14 donkeys out the front; now it has an expansive al fresco terrace that’s just perfect for enjoying a cold one in the sunshine. Inside there’s five bars, two restaurants and a host of giant TV screens for those all-important big games.
