recently returned here & unbeknownst to me, this place is massive. Previously I'd enjoyed some fine brews on the top level, with a view of the big screen in fed square, but wander a little bit & you'll stumble across additional areas all ripe to sit down, drink, eat, unwind & enjoy. Previously I'd reviewed the beers & the burgers, now I can add flexibility of the venue to its strong points. its beer-tastic!

A pleasant location for any gathering of people who all enjoy spending money indiscriminately. True to its name, Beer Deluxe offers a wide variety of imported beers to choose from; all of them overpriced. The staff are friendly, service is swift, there is ample seating and a cosy atmosphere. The beer garden is spacious and heated, with heaps of tables and umbrellas; on the down side, it is mostly concreted. It also has the valuable advantage of opening straight onto the street. As a cash-strapped poet, I will never return, but I do recommend Beer Deluxe to those who dont mind paying extra for drinks at Fed Square.

I cant speak of breakfasts like another reviewer but their burgers at lunch are right on the money. A big, tasty, juicy, stacked delivery worthy of awe from anyone, the Burger Deluxe from Beer Deluxe, at $10.50 with chunky, tasty fries is worth coming back for. It is well placed in fed square & is absolutely perfect for a tasty lunch during warmer months. Hang on - its Beer Deluxe & I havent mentioned the beers! A great range on offer at reasonable prices tops this off as a great place to eat & drink!

Horriable Breakfirst Experience @ Beer Deluxe

28/06/09 My boyfriend and I were looking for a breakfirst place around Federation Square. We saw Beer Deluxe and attracted by the big space and "warm inside" sign as it is an early sunday morning and cold.

When we went in there, it is actually not warm, but we feel warm by their service:someone welcome you and give you the breakie menu. We ordered coffee, which comes to the table in a reasonable time and taste ok.

$4 each with soy milk in it. A bit small, but for the location, its acceptable. Afterwards, we waited for a long time for the basic breakfirst to be served.
My boy friend said the Porridge is really dry, both of us tasted the bannana they put on the top is not freash at all, looks like someone had the good bits and left the rest on their table, and they pick it up, put it on the top of customer's Porridge and hoping they wont find out. (VIC Market on the exact week's Saturday, $1 a kilo, really freash) We wasted $8.

The Breakfast Delux: Egg, Bacon, spinish, tomato, mushroom and sausage is really good. Unfortunately, you have to wait for the chicken laid the eggs, the mushroom, tomoto and spinish to grow, and the pig to be killed and processed, and served. $16.50 for this dish, worth it if you have heaps of time to waste there.
