Like jazz? You’ll love Bennetts Lane. And you’ll be in good company, too: the Artist Once Again Known As Prince played a secret gig here once and Lonely Planet has called it “the best jazz club in the world”. Aptly dim-lit and sophisticated, Bennetts Lane Jazz Club has played host to big name internationals and local acts for 20+ years. But this is definitely NOT one to scream about: there’s a strict “no talking” rule when the artistes are shooby-doo-wopping.
