I was disappointed after making the journey that a book they cleary had for sale on their online bookstore was not available at Paddington. Not sure how that works??! Staff said the online store held a much larger range from all sorts of suppliers. What was kinda cool was that I was able to buy it from their online bookstore from within their book shop on this cool computer thing they have installed.
Anyway, at least I got a coffee for my troubles :)
It's a cool store I suppose. Loads of books. But their Newtown store is much more special in my opinion. Come on, who doesn't love a converted warehouse with books, coffee and noodles?!
My favourite bookstore to browse new releases - have a cup of coffee and cake - check out some old graphic design books and wait for your movie to start across the laneway at the Verona. Arial is their biggest competitor across the road. Berkelouw is a chain of stores now - but I think this is their first bookstore and for me will be their only bookstore.
