Hello,
In the last year or two I've tried Campos coffee. Great stuff. Berkelouw Cafe in Leichhardt is one more place to get my fix of one the better coffee grinds on the market. Have not tried the food here so i would of given this Berkelouw Cafe more stars.

Coffee is always amazing- Campos beans!
Gets very busy on weekend mornings.
Would love to see the menu changed- been the same for around 2 years.
Food service is quick about 5-10 mins for the food to arrive
Definitely try the upstairs bit- a more relax atmosphere, and take advantage of the book store. -

Driven past this cafe hundreds of times and up until yesterday I went and had coffee here. Great little outdoor cafe, nice coffee and food. The great thing about this place is that they do all day breakfast! Will definately be coming back here. -
There is a downstairs, street level, cafe that has good coffee and some fun things to eat but the real gem here is the inside upstairs cafe in the second-hand books section. you can grab a book and a cup of tea or coffee and read till your heart is content. It's nice and warm with a very relaxed atmosphere. -

We decided to eat at this cafe as it was one of the few cafes open on Good Friday, other than McDonalds. After attending Mass early in the morning and deciding where to eat, our stomachs were grumbling with hunger by the time we ordered. After 40 minutes of no show of our food, I asked a very grumpy waitress and her response was the usual 'it's coming'. An hour after arrival at the cafe, we eventually got served our food. The kids panckaes were thin, slimy and pasty, so under cooked that my little son was in tears because he couldnt eat them but was hungry. The buns on my and hubby's burgers were the biggest thing on the plate as there was not much else inside of it, one little meat patty, one lettuce and a little sauce in the middle. Our hot chips never came so i demanded a refund. The waitresses were annoyed if we asked them for anything. We ended up at McDonalds after all to feed our starving kids. A very dissapointing first and last visit.
