Have had no dramas previously. Been great for machining rotors and fitting new pads.
However if an issue arises: They seem to be quite reluctant to return (3) phone calls. Have been waiting since 09/04/2010. Since the car was in for a wheel bearing, I was wondering why wiring had been touched/repaired. Only when calling them for the third time had it been confirmed that they had a go fixing this. Still not known why I wasn't advised of this.
History: (all relates to rear left wheel) * The car was booked in for a (1x) replacement wheel bearing. The ABS was working fine. * Wheel bearing was replaced. I was advised that the pulse ring required replacing. Which is fine, as I had delayed getting the bearing replaced. ABS not functioning * Rotated wheels later day, noticed stub axle cap was quite damaged. Both the center and one side dented quite significantly. Cap on the other side is fine. * Pulse ring was fitted some 2-3 weeks later. However, my curiosity arose when I overheard someone expressing joy as they had found why the ABS light was on. Maybe I wasn't supposed to hear that. Obviously it wasn't the pulse ring alone (or at all?) * ABS working for the moment * Jacked the car up 2 days later. Discovered a repair consisting of twisted wire and electrical tape. * This is what I saw: http://s402.photobucket.com/albums/pp109/Phulania/Brakes/ * Questioned them about tampering with the wiring. No one seems to know anything.
In my opinion: * If an issue arises, communication is not good. * A heavy handed mechanic replaced the bearing, damaging the wiring and cap at this time. * Use something a tad more durable. Soldering iron and heat shrink? Better still, replace it.
