I took my daughter in to use a "deal" I got off the internet. What was supposed to be a bit of a treat for her after a particularly hard emotional year for our family turned into a lesson in life and poor service. It was an uncomfortable experience from the word go. She lectured about her choice of hair colour (we were told quite forthrightly she was only 13 and she would not be doing hair that made her look older than she is. Uum..whose decision was that excuse me?). Needless to say I felt myself justifying why we were there and why she wanted foils in her hair. My daughter started to cry she was so abrupt and plain lacking any kind of customer service. I would have left right then but my daughter desperately wanted to get her hair done as I'd been unable to do it for months. She calmed down a little after she made my daughter cry but I was completely offended that I was paying for a service and spoken to like that. I should not have to justify my decisions and reasons for my daughter to be having her hair done at 1pm in the afternoon. I'm not sure if she meant to be so rude and abrupt but I won't be returning here again. First hair cut for 6 months for a young girl who needed some TLC and she end up in tears? No thanks. No deal is worth that.

In the two occasions in which I have had contact with this business I have been left feeling very uncomfortable and unwelcome. The staff member, who seemed to be the person in charge, was very rude and impatient and had no sense of the concept of customer service. I will never return there because of this and would highly recommend avoiding this place if you wish to be treated with respect.

I started going there in 2008 and received Brazilian treatments. The staff who looked after me was perfect. Sadly after 3 years, that staff left and now the management have been through three staff in 4 months. I went there last night for a Brazilian. I came our after two patches because the staff had no idea how to do it. They burnt me and hurt me. They told me that they have 3 years experience, but i doubt it. Dont go there for Brazilian!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  As owner of the business I have contacted Mayajones and she has come back to us and is having Brazalians again. My clients are very important to me and after such feedback I decided to let go of my beauty therapist. I will not employee staff that do not perform to our high standard. My current beauty therapist has over 12 years experinec an is loved by all of her clients. The last time I spoke to Mayajones she is more than happy with her therapist and her brazilians.

Used to be a loyal customer but left due to new management. Returned recently only to be quoted a HUGE price - akin to City and Valley prices - and when I declined the service I was treated badly and given a bad haircut.

  As owner of the business it is a hard decision to increase my prices. But due to rapidly rising costs I have had little choice. I have made every attempt to avoid the increase, but we refuse to compromise on quality. This is our only recourse. We think you will agree that the quality of our service and the high standard of the Aveda products that we use should not be sacrificed. My prices are in comparison now to the majority of salons in the Aspley area .

  Perhaps I am reading this wrong but how can you decline the service but still receive a haircut which was bad. Did goodbye actually get a haircut?

A pleasant and relaxing retreat for a beauty treatment. Reasonable prices. Flexible opening hours (some late nights through the week). Staff are well-trained. You do need to book ahead though as they have a lot of clients.
