I really liked Bhoj - the flavour of the food was really good and it was quiet enough and laid out well enough so as to give a nice private atmosphere. I wine list is excellent, although they do only serve some dessert wine by the glass. The staff were attentive and always there quickly if you had a question. All in all a good experience - very yummy :)
This is the worst Restaurant i have ever been to in my life. Very bad attitude combined with the rude customer service. Seems like owner is just interested in money rather than providing customers with the good food and service. I had to wait for 40 minutes before someone took my order. It was just the starting of the rudeness of the owner. I was told to spend specific amount of money to get the food served and on top of that he told me to hurry up as the kitchen would be closing soon. How the hell they can treat the customers like this. Firstly it was their fault that they didn't take my order and then they are asking me to hurry up...and how come they can ask customers to order more or they won't get served.
I believe in anywhere in the world we can just walk in any restaurant and order whatever we want and restaurant owner wouldn't ask you to order more.
I wouldn't suggest anyone to go there. There are many nice restaurants with polite owners
who greet and serve their customers as anyone would expect.
The food at Bhoj was nice and the service was good. However this has to be one of the most expensive Indian restaurants I've been to. You certainly pay for the location and the posh factor of Docklands, but the atmosphere is somewhat sterile. What you really get is an Indian food that is about on par with many other restaurants in Melbourne but for probably triple the price.
Being Indian, I can be quite picky when it comes to Indian food in Melbourne. While many resturants that I've tried have failed to really grasp the intensity and richness of the flavours of Indian cuisine, Bhoj was a terrific surprise and its food did more than satisfy my palate! This restaurant has the ambience, the views and the lively Docklands vibe. The food is delicious and I especially reccomend the Lamb Rogan Josh. It's a little pricey but worth the little bit extra!
