A place to relax in the CBD. You'll find Birrarung Marr next to Federation Square on the north bank of the Yarra River. The park is perfect for strolls, picnics or just plain enjoyment of the public art pieces.

If you’re looking for a relaxing chill-out space in the middle of the CBD, Birrarung Marr is your answer. The 8.3 hectare native garden along the Yarra River between Federation Square and the MCG was Melbourne’s newest major parkland for 100 years when it opened in 2002. Its open spaces provide plenty of room to relax, play games, or just take in spectacular views of the city. Another highlight is the Federation Bells featuring individual chimes programmed to play throughout the day.
