    Just WOW!
    This place is so amazing!
The food was perfect, the waiters were so lovely and they have such a marvellous wine list. I felt spoilt rotten.
I will absolutely be going there again very soon.

Totally agree with the previous reviewer - the olive oil cake is awesome! My other favourites are the garlic prawns, calamari, squashed potatoes and the alegria paella.

The Sangria is great - with both white and red. Quail was marvellous, and the sardines were so popular with the guests that we didn't get the chance to taste it. The sauce for the mussels and other tapas is nice, and stuffed peppers are a must for vegetarians and non-vegs. Nothing was salty. Service was friendly and relaxing. The outstanding success is the olive oil+dessert wine cake+poached peaches+vanilla mascarpone, which I ordered because of my adventurous spirit, became my favourite and I strongly recommend this to everyone visiting Alegria. Overall, all the desserts are excellent.

THE cafes and restaurants of Park Road can be hit and miss. Some are extremely popular and have stood the test of time thanks to a devout following, while others languish and fade off the scene though not for the lack of passing trade.

Without a doubt it is a dedicated dining destination. Enter Alegria, no relation to the much-loved Sunshine Beach restaurant of the same name but bearing some similar Mediterranean flavours.

Open for lunch and dinner every day and breakfast on the weekends, dining outside is as popular at this time of year as the rustic farmhouse chairs and polished wood tables inside. A tinted glass wall separates this from La Dolce Vita next door, so when you are sitting on the banquette as we are one of you looks into their courtyard.

The interior is cosy and moodily lit, using a palette of earthy tones, mosaic tiles and flocked wallpaper that rolls up the walls and over the ceiling of the bar. You have a choice of entrees or tapas then half a dozen mains, which is abridged at lunch but augmented by a selection of smaller dishes, such as quesadilla of spiced beef and beans, lamb kofta and charred octopus over a tomato, cucumber and feta salad.

    Evening entrees are mushroom cap...
